What is intuitive parenting? It is simply a process by which you allow that still, small voice to come through and speak to you about your child. It is not hearing from a place of emotion or a place of intellect; instead it is hearing from a connection to something bigger – call it spirit, God, Source or whatever works for you. When you are connected to this larger web and you are tuned into the frequency of your child, you have access to information that is precise and timely for that child at that moment. All of you as parents have experienced times with your children when you just knew something and no one could tell you differently. That is intuitive parenting and in this day and age, it is vital that you expand your skill level.
Children are incredible communicators despite the fact that they may not posses the verbal skills with which to articulate their thoughts. Additionally, children are incredibly sensitive and empathic in ways that most adults have lost. In general, children have abilities that we adults have outgrown as we have learned to operate in a world based in fear and ego.
Science and quantum physics has determined that all humans are basically energy. Although we are chemical and biological, we are primarily energy that is vibrating at certain frequencies throughout the day. We have found that in addition to our physical body, we also possess an emotional body, a mental body and a spiritual body which surround the physical body; because these additional bodies vibrate at such a high frequency, they are not as dense as the physical body and to many people they appear to be invisible.
As an intuitive and an energy worker, I am able to see and read all these different bodies. Much like tuning into a radio station, I am able to tune into the frequency of these different bodies and receive information. Consequently, I can access information that your child is communicating on a non-verbal level. In some cases, a child's emotional, mental and/or spiritual body will show areas that are in distress before the physical body has manifested this distress as an illness. In other cases, a child may already have an illness or diagnosis, but by working with their energy many of their symptoms can be addressed and minimized because the body as a whole is being fully supported.
My long term goal is to teach parents how to do this yourself so that you are always able to fully “dialogue” with your child. You already have the basic skill set; however, you need some guidance in how to get out of your head and emotions so that the true information can come through in a clear and precise manner. When I work with children, I always involve the family so that everyone can begin communicating in a new, fun way that allows all the pieces of the puzzle to be seen.

The Power of Giving
I am so thrilled as I write this because through helping someone else to heal, I have grown spiritually by leaps and bounds - all in about ONE week! Through spiritual serendipty, I came across a blog about someone who is struggling with a chronic pain disease that I myself battled for years. At the time, I was told in no uncertain terms that I was meant to reach out to this remarkable woman and help her on her spiritual journey of healing. I didn't know why I was told to do this, but I have done this long enough, that I no longer question why anymore - I follow orders and just do what I am told!
So I did and I quickly found myself helping someone who is truly amazing, deeply strong and so filled with intuitive light that she shines on me and all those around her!
What I find incredible is that almost immediately after making this connection, I began to feel a bit strange. I felt very tired, but at the same time, I was edgy and awake. Again, I have been on this journey long enough, that I knew something or some shift was coming and it was coming in a BIG way! Unfortunately, I am still somewhat impatient and as soons as I realized I was in for a growth spurt, I became very excited and could not wait to find out what it would be. Sad to say, I had to wait a bit longer and become more tired and wiped out...
Today, a new truth was revealed! As soon as my epiphany hit, I was able to jump forward spiritually, emotionally and mentally. More importantly, I was also able to release years of emotional pain that I did not realize I was still carrying! As I released this pain, I was instantly forgiving all the people who played a role in how this pain was created within my life. AMAZING! In one moment, I was enlightened and lightened of my burden! (I will share the details of the epiphany later on as it is so fresh that I wish to honor it by just allowing it to merge within me.)\\
The point that cannot be lost here is that through my work with another human being and in helping HER to heal, I also was healed! I have always believed that what I was so freely given (my own healing from chronic pain as well as a spiritual awakening) must be shared with others so that I may keep my gifts.
I hear from people all over the world who are in a tremendous amount of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual pain. The main theme that plays out over and over again for these people is how small their world becomes. They are unable to focus on anything or anyone but the pain and how unfair it is. Unfortunately, this kind of thinking is only going to attract more pain and more injustice since we do become what we think about.
My pearl of wisdom for today is this - If you are experiencing a dark night of the soul, I urge you to step outside of yourself for just a moment and offer your heart and spirit to someone who is also suffering. Give of yourself without any expectation of receiving anything in return...I guarantee you that you will not be the same person once you have done this. Either you will experience something that you never imagined could happen to or for you, or your perspective will have shifted so dramatically that your dark night will no longer seem so dark or so long.
Blessings my friends and welcome to the journey.

The True Meaning of The Snake in The Garden
Over the last ten years, I have been on a spiritual quest during which I have asked questions and have been rewarded with the most amazing answers. One of my most passionate quests has been to understand the teachings of the Bible. While most people readily accept it as “the word of God”, I realize that it has been translated many times and into many languages, edited as well and most importantly was put together by a group of men called the Nicean Council. There is clear proof that many teachings were deleted because they would not have fit with what these men sought to accomplish. Add to that the fact that for years the only people able to even read the Bible were the clergy, well...you see my point.
In my searching, I am often intuitively “hit” with knowledge. Sometimes I will get some information and it just rings true to me; the following is one of these bits of truth. If you don't agree with it, fine. If you do, fine. The point is for all of us to find what we need to find as it relates to our relationship with God. I share this with you to provoke thought and discussion within your family and group.
For most of us growing up, we were told that the serpent represented our fall from grace into sin as man was given and chose free will; however, for me that never rang true. I puzzled over why God would create man/woman in his own image (which is perfection) but then create a serpent to more or less set him/her up to fail? This just never made sense to me.
After doing some meditation and reading, I had my answer! The snake and the decision to eat the fruit actually represents man/woman's separation from God; at that moment, man/woman began to look outside of himself/herself for answers (or for God). The kingdom in that moment, became something to seek outside of man/woman. Free will was not created in this moment but separation from God was.
The serpent says, “if ye shall eat of this tree (the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil) your eyes shall be surely opened and ye will be like God.” It is clear that as man/woman's eyes open, they begin to look outside themselves for answers and truth. From this point on, is man/woman is no longer one with God. (When man/woman were one with God, free will was a lot less dangerous.)
Jesus then came to teach us or to help us remember that “the kingdom of Heaven is within”. Jesus had, through the practice of his meditations and fasting, become one with God or Christ-consciousness. That was the crux of his teaching. We as humans could become Christ-consciousness if we allowed ourselves to remember that “the father is within me and of myself, I can do nothing.” Once we stop looking outside of ourselves for The Kingdom, we find God within and can attain more than what Christ attained: “Verily, verily I say unto you. He that believeth in me, the works that I shall do, he shall do also; and greater than these shall he do...”
We are also assured by Jesus of this: “To him that overcometh, will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.” In this sense, overcometh means that we find God again within ourselves and stop looking outside for any answers. At that moment, when we become one with God again, we are allowed back into the Garden and may eat of the Tree of Life. What a wonderful blessing and something to which we may all aspire.

Why? What is life about?
Recently, I received news that someone I know who is homeless by choice had attempted suicide. He once told me that he had been clean and sober for almost 8 years and during that time, he held a job in a recovery house; unfortunately, all along he was not any happier as a sober, functioning human being than he had been as a homeless non-participating member of every day life.
Today I found out that another person that I know but have not seen in quite a while died. She was young and had young children. Apparently, she was very ill but refused to go to the hospital or call a doctor. When paramedics arrived, they were shocked that her family and friends had not insisted that she seek medical attention prior to that day. And now she was gone and her kids were without a mother at very young ages.
On the heels of all this news, the Holidays just having passed and a move that nearly killed me, I started thinking about a bigger picture. What is it that we are doing here in this game called life? Why are we here?
Is life just about getting a job, paying bills and maybe being able to afford a house or raise children? If we are lucky enough to find our passion and give back to the world, does this make life meaningful enough?
And what about the people out there who just cannot navigate this world as it is? How do we treat the ones who prefer to be homeless and not part of the mainstream? And what about a young woman who is a mother who chooses not to seek medical attention and dies because of this decision?
What is more disturbing to me is that these are not unfamiliar scenarios in today's world. Why is this? What has happened that these situations exist at all in a world with so many resources?
The other day I was struggling with my family, my life, my work and so much more that I had been in a great deal of fear...even bordering on panic attacks. I needed to know what was going on - what was I doing here? So I went into a really calm, meditative state and suddenly, I heard a voice that was so clear telling me that my life is about love. I am here to learn how to love and to teach others how to love without ego, expectation or judgement. Every heartache, every trial and tribulation is about learning to love the pure way -the way we are loved by whatever Creator we believe breathed life into this beautiful Universe.
And that was it...I knew every answer to every question I have every had. It is that simple and yet, that hard...loving EVERYONE without making judgments or assessments - just loving them because they are part of this big world we call Earth or Gaia! That is why we are here! That is what it is all about. The key is love.

Morphed...Why I Do What I Do
I started this post about my move and then it morphed inside me into a new topic..."Why I do What I do".
As the holidays are now upon us and I realized that I will be exposed to people who have no idea who I am or what I am about, I began to think about my work and why I am so passionate about it.
I think it boils down to fear. I was raised in fear and still fight a long struggle with that and control. I think many of us do because we have been told over and over again that we must control our circumstances by having a good job, saving money, preparing for retirement, buying a house and building equity, having health insurance...etc.
And yet, let's look at society today. We have more addiction to drugs, alcohol and food than ever before. We are treating young people for obesity and diabetes for crying out loud. We are scratching our heads at why there has been a Columbine or a 9-11 or any other terrible tragedy. We are picking up the pieces from an economy built on a stack of cards and greed. So much for controlling our circumstances!
...there has to be more. And, guess what? There is! There is so much more and so much more happiness, peace, health and joy to be had...but all of this will not be had by fighting for control or running from fear.
This transformation will come about when we stand still and recognize that there is a force, an intelligence around us and within us that is centered in oneness, love and spirit. It is that still, small voice within you that tells you of a truth that is so ancient you should not have any knowledge of it but yet, you do...
There will be a time when understanding that "the kingdom of God is within you" means that all of us can be loving, kind people as a collective...free of ego, expectation and judgement on a daily basis rather than showing up to a ritual once a week or a few times a year and then forgetting how to love one another once we exit the pew. We can nod our heads in acknowledgement when we hear that God doesn't care about what is the right religion. And we will nod our heads because we KNOW that we do not need a religion or a church if we are truly LIVING the life that is intended for us.
We won't be afraid to say the word "God" because for once, it will represent only what it should...pure and total love of all in perfect creation.
We will heal ourselves and heal this planet because there will no longer be hierarchy ...all will be equal because of the knowledge that everything in existence was created by something so spectacular that it could never be a mistake or taken for granted.
Can this really happen? Yes...it can and it can start within each one of us if we are willing to allow our ego to be removed and replaced by a knowledge that we are all one, connected by something precious, powerful living and loving. That to harm another person or thing means that we harm ourselves and that would be crazy...unthinkable.
So with this vision, I keep doing what I do...helping people to find their way out of pain, dis-ease and fear. When I see someone make that connection to a new reality - a reality that is promising, hopeful and near then I have accomplished something! When I see someone who is now free from pain help another person find relief from their own nightmare, that is meaningful. When I see someone connect to whatever they believe God to be and begin to live in freedom, then I can sleep soundly at night - because I know we are one step closer to a world of love and oneness. Amen and sweet dreams.

Blocked on Facebook!
Recently, I discovered that I had been “blocked” by someone on Facebook…not because I had done something inappropriate, but because I was being punished for something that I must have done and did not know about! That experience, coupled with the people I know who are having romantic relationships through text messaging, has compelled me to write this.
Have we really become so unable to communicate with people one on one that we have resorted to the counterfeit intimacy of texting and social networking sites? Is there any hope for a world without conflict when we are unable to put forth an effort to tell someone in person that we have been hurt by something they said or did? Are we now a world where we rely on “settings” to communicate for us? If we “block” someone, are we hoping that they will realize they have done something hurtful and then we won’t have to tell them?
I don’t like confrontation anymore than the next person. For years I tried to avoid having to speak up because I had spent years of my life not being heard; however, I had a huge epiphany one day as I stomped my feet over a co-worker’s bad behavior. I was so angry that she failed to do the right thing without being told! Then I started to wonder, why was I so upset by this? What she had done was irritating, but not horrible.
Boom… it hit me! I expected her to act appropriately because otherwise, I might just have to be uncomfortable and speak up! I hated confrontation so much that I just wanted everyone around me to behave so that I would be ok. The problem was not her behavior, it was my inability to speak to her without thinking it was a confrontation!
I needed to find a voice that was free of ego, expectation and judgment. I needed to find a way to speak truth with love, rather than be confrontational. The Universe was teaching me to find a respectful way of behaving and communicating with people.
I suspect that many of us have this same problem…unfortunately, the solution will not be found in retreating and hiding behind internet sites and their settings. All of us need to grow spiritually and emotionally within so that we can face our own fears and learn to speak up with kindness and love.
And finally, we must also realize that not being heard is really someone else’s problem …and that is something we cannot fix!
